I would think that is too much quantity and not enough quality and team needs met for Chevy to bite.

Change it to Barron, Dach and a 1st and Chevy is likely calling you back.

Doubt WPG wants Dach or that he would be traded before he even plays a game for MTL.

It's hard to say what Chevy would want. Dvorak is what he is a marginal, expensive 3C. While Dach is worse than that now, the Jets scouts may see him as having more upside, so he may be more desirable.

If there is a chance for Montreal to obtain a French Canadian player by moving out an Anglophone, the Canadiens do it 100 times out of 100. No matter how many games are played.

It's not going to be Dach or Barron. MTL can't afford to move another RD without replacement and KH didn't make the Dach theatrics at the draft just to flip him.

Whether Dvorak is part of any WPG deal is secondary to the fact that the deal only works if Anderson goes. Otherwise, the Habs can't afford to sign Dubois.

In the event the Habs do sign Dubois, I would expect Dach to move to RW, replacing Anderson. The Habs would then have Suzuki, Dubois, Dvorak and Evans, which is not a horrible lineup. So, I would expect any deal to be mostly picks and prospects, with Anderson as the main piece coming from Montreal. I would have thought Poehling, the Minnesota boy, would have been a good fit for WPG. Not sure who the Habs have at forward who's all that interesting. Emil Heineman? Ty Smilanic?

Most likely it would be Dvorak+another roster player like Anderson or Gallagher involved along with futures.

Unless Chevy already has a plan to move one of them, adding $10M worth of AAV would be tough for WPG to swallow. I know Stastny is gone along with Dubois, but the Jets have about $14M available to fill six roster spots. If you use $10M of that for Dvorak and one of Anderson or Gallagher, that makes things pretty tough filling out the bottom of the roster.

I know Dillon has been in the rumour mill which is 3.9m, I think they will probably need to get a replacement on the defence but perhaps it would be someone around 1m. A lot of teams are in need to move cap around so will see what trades happen, might take some time.

Montreal should not offer more than Winnipeg could get elsewhere.
We aren't in a position to get into "bidding wars" for players, when we still have our own talent to evaluate and roster to develop, before paying to address needs.
Dvorak, Harris/Norlinder/Kidney (or similar), and the later of MTL/FLA 1st, + Armia or Hoffman for cap - max.

Don't want to give up on Dvorak so soon, but he's MB's guy and PLD would be an upgrade.
We can afford to include a LHD or forward prospect, as long as it isn't one of this year's picks or trade acquisitions (or Roy, though he could be a maybe in the right deal). That's where I think another team trumps any offer we could(/should) make.
The 1st is where we "might" be able to make up the value by offering the better of the two picks, but I don't think we should keep throwing 1sts at attempts to address the same position before fully evaluating the previous acquisitions (Dvorak and now Dach), especially if we can get it another way with patience (Kidney, Bedard) or UFA at a better time (higher cap, good free agent crop).
