As much as I like the trade I can’t imagine them actually doing 2 draft picks for puljujarvi. If they would I think Holland would have already taken it.

Considering that there isn’t much of a market for PJ, and what Holland is asking for in return is ridiculous, Holland will have to settle for about a 3rd rounder. PJ is a defensive winger with great advanced stats. He wasn’t putting up points with McDavid or Draisaitl, so what hope do teams have for him to put up points on their team?

The Canes have no need for PJ. He doesn’t bring a scoring touch that the Canes need. And I get why Carolina might want PJ. Why not try and reunite the WJC Finnish line that was so dominant. Between Laine and PJ, Laine would be the target the Canes go after, and then make a better Finnish line of Laine-Aho-Turbo.

Very few teams will overpay for PJ. The Canes won’t be one of them.

Having Nino-Staal-Fast as your 4th line is just ridiculous depth. I don't like the $270,000 left in cap with only 21 players though. I feel like Nino is as good as gone. Also, I'd rather just sign Milano or someone instead of Puljujarvi, we have a lot of RW's and we could use a LW for the 3rd line.
