I like Konecny but that's a huge price to pay for someone who isn't much of an upgrade over Foligno (and is also a lot more expensive). I would even argue he isn't an upgrade in most areas, Foligno has been incredible for us. I don't see us moving Foligno anyways.

Foligno isn't. Foligno is Minnesota's leader and one third of the best 3rd line in NHL with Joel Eriksson Ek and greenway. Not a chance Guerin would trade foligno. Teams that are very close to being a playoff team don't just give up their 1st. Once Detroit has made the playoffs for a couple years in a row and starts to knock on the door of the Stanley cup, that's when Steve Y will consider trading 1st round picks. Edvinsson could be the partner Seider needs. Why give up what could become a lottery pick again next year and turn into Bedard for Provorov when we already have Seiders partner from within.
