That's an easy decline from Winnipeg.

Out of curiosity, would u take the following package for Kyle Connor:

- Alexander Holtz
- Damon Severson
- Shakir Mukhamadulin OR Nolan Foote
- 2023 1st

Maybe. Instead of Severson, the Jets would want one of your younger top D prospects.

A package like Holtz, Nemec/Hughes, 1st, and another decent prospect.

I could see Barzal and Connor being considered to have equal value for the sake of this trade.

But Bailey & Beau do not add up to Mark Scheifele. First off, you're sending back more than $3M extra with those 2 versus Scheifele's $6.125M hit (more important to the Isles than the Jets), and you're talking about two guys who Scheifele almost outscored on his own last season (Bailey had 44, Beau had 33, Scheif had 70.) That kills the deal from the Jets end without the Isles adding *something* significant.

Dobson would have to be included in the deal

And to me, that kills it. A big chunk of the gains you'd make turning Beauvillier & Bailey into Connor would be lost by having to play Scott Mayfield at RD2 instead of RD3, and then having to either play Grant Hutton or a street UFA as RD3. It just decimates the right side to move Dobson out at this point, even for a strong top line winger.

Hughes/Nemec would be off the table. Mukhamadulin is 2020 1st rounder who is probably going to play in NHL next year. Reilly Walsh is another solid RD prospect but Mukhamadulin probably has higher value. So I guess I would say:

-Holtz
-Mukhamadulin
-Foote
-2023 1st
-2024 3rd

Would have to be a demelo or pionk going the other way also, so could be quite the blockbuster
njlaforte liked this.
