Detroit is laughing. You think Schenn is worth that haul? He is 30. Never been ppg. And you want a 1st and two 2nds...AND Rasmussen who is looking like he may be the perfect 3C who can chip in 40 pts a season... then you want to take Zadina, who had some great metrics until his confidence was destroyed. Zadina could still be top 6.

This offer is way overrating Schenn.

Terrible trade agreed! but no way Ras is a 3rd line center. he didn't start producing till he moved to the wing. bottom 6 winger with some offense, 40 points feels to high.

I might be a bit optimistic, but he has shown growth every year, and he really got the offense going near the end of the year. His defensive play was really impressive. He wins faceoffs (above 50%). Big guys like Rasmussen can take time to figure things out in the NHL since they can't rely on size to do all the heavy lifting like before they made it to the NHL. Todd Bertuzzi, Chara, to a lesser extent Byfuglien, Anders Lee, Pat Maroon are all big guys who took time and got better with age. I think Rasmussen might have much more than we have seen. I dont see him as a top line guy, but I could very well see him as a 35-40 point guy, and MAYBE develop into a middle 6 shutdown center who can play wing and chip in points.
