Oh I agree. I'm just saying when looking at it that just seems ridiculous but it's probably the only way you could pry the face of a franchise off of them - especially to go in the same division lol.

I mean I'd pay to see that first line. Two of the best ever Russian snipers next to one of the best Russian playmakers. If (not even close to happening) NJD pulled this off I might have a new team to follow

top line would be good. But he should do the WSH side of this deal because I think they would look waaaaaaay better than NJD still

I hate this deal with Washington, hell I made an account just to express my distaste. You're blowing up our future for nothing. 2018 is a better draft and we're probably still going to draft in the top 15. Giving up McCleod is a huge mistake. We can see the NHL has changed to a speed game and the kid has wheels and great face-off . Trading first pick overall will get Shero fired then lynched. You're keep Prout around too which is a mistake. The only thing tradeable for that #1 pick is a young proven elite center (Matthews or McJesus and neither team will give us that). Jersey is a budget team, no chance ownership ponies up to that. Lastly, this deal doesn't address the team's largest problem: defense. Plus, keeping Hall around improves our draft lottery chances because the Hockey Gods say so.
