Probably not considering Kerfoot and Moore played similar roles on their respective team and put up similar numbers. Moore's half the cost.

Moore isn’t a center but he’s probably the better player. And LAK doesn’t need more centers lol.

I feel like the Kings have a good number of guys who can do what Kerfoot does for Toronto. They're also getting a bit too close to the cap ceiling as well, so I doubt they'd be interested.

Teams don’t usually try to get worse and more expensive. Unless you are talking about the isles lol.

Since January 1, Trevor Moore, Phillip Danault and Victor Arvidsson were one of the most productive forward lines in the NHL. We wouldn't be disturbing that even if we didn't have less than $100,000 in cap space. Moreover, the chance that we can re-sign local boy Trevor Moore is about 10,000 times greater than the chance that we could re-sign Alex Kerfoot.

Der-Arguchintsev would be 5th or lower on our depth chart at center, depending upon whether Jaret Anderson-Dolan is still considered a prospect and Akil Thomas is considered a center, so he's a nullity.

Moore was moved to the top-6 at mid-season and from that point on led the Kings in points. The offensively snake bitten Kings having Fiala, Kempe, Moore, and Arvidsson as top-6 wingers with two Selke caliber wingers is where they want to be. Add to this that the Kings abundance of prospects are on the cusp of graduation and regular playing time in the bottom six, and there really is no more moves to make for the forward group.

I’m not even convinced Fiala is the best winger in that group. Either way it’s a tough ****ing matchup.

Only real playoff teams have three lines, if Iafllo-Byfield-Kaliyev actually works, the Kings are ready, even missing the 2LD, as long as Roy is in 2RD our team is close.

Is Iafallo a decent skater? That 3rd line seems a little slow imo. Btw it’s nothing personal. If it makes you feel better the isles fastest wing last year was Zack Parise lol.

Iafallo is the babysitter of that line, he has always been paired with a faster player so he can defend a rush coming the other way or be the final dagger no one saw coming.

Last season they tried letting those guys be the shutdown line, but their possession numbers weren’t as high as Lizotte, who essentially had the real 3C. Kaliyev and Iafallo, can both defend and score, so the thought is Byfield will need to make the step to legitimate 3C, and Lizotte is paired with Lemieux and Grundstrom to become a high energy checking line.
