Description

I'm not a fan of either team, so CAL and STL fans can both tell me how wrong I am. I know Tarasenko wants out. ROR hasn't signed an extension and is getting older. I don't see STL wanting him to go, but if he is refusing to sign an extension, I could see him getting shipped out.

For CAL, they get 2 players to replace Tkachuk and Johnny.

don’t see why calgary would be interested in ROR and tarasenko, both rentals, as the main pieces.

I was just thinking they get another run at the Cup, instead of tearing it down. Gives them almost a year to try and sign one or both and try to keep the good times rolling.

i guess? they’re both pretty old though. if i were calgary i’d be laser focused on getting kyrou. i think he gives them the best chance at extending the window while also helping them build for the future.

Take one and get a bundle of prospects and picks instead. Neighbours forsurr being one of them. He's nhl ready and could play all up and down the line up and contribute. Bolduc is probably ready too, massive upside.
O'Reilly/Tarasenko, Neighbours, Bolduc 1st... maybe +? Or some combination. Gives you a chance to compete now and later. Maybe sign Niederreiter too if he isn't signed by then.

I like both players; however, you don't trade a 24 gear old 100+ pt player for anyone over 28. Very few players maintain production after 28, and the ones who do usually started much later. Calgary isn't winning a cup with them, and certainly wouldn't want players past their prime
