This is how we know a non-Kings GM. Trades Roy, has Anderson in the bottom pair, Bjornfot on the top pair, and moves Quick when it’s clear he wants to retire here.

My best Tkachuk bet would include Arvidsson or Kempe, 1st, Walker, and a top prospect.

No thanks. Don't want Tkachuk on the Kings. Costs too much and the Kings have too many expensive contracts already.

So we lose Roy, Kupari, our 2023 first and Quick because he's a cap casualty, all for perhaps only 2 years of Matthew Tkachuk?

Too rich for my blood.

I think LA is the only Pacific team with the ability to get Tkachuk.

I know they weren't on his rumoured "list", but when you make that kind of money how can you not want to live in LA? Especially on a young, up-and-coming team.

Well, you're right in every respect, but I just don't see a good fit. Our team has been constructed conservatively, to be very well balanced, and Tkachuk is a real heavyweight that would rock the boat. I just think that we need a #1 LD more than a #1 LW, of whom we kinda have two already. And I'm pretty happy with the 4 wingers on our top 2 lines, and Tkachuk would push one of them out of that tier. I suppose we could do with Kempe - Kopitar - Fiala, Tkachuk - Danault - Arvidsson, Moore - Byfield - Kaliyev, having traded Iafallo, one of Turcotte or Vilardi, Petersen and a first (because that's what it would probably take), but I'd still prefer a deal for Jakob Chychrun or Ivan Provorov or maybe even K'Andre Miller. I suppose it's just personal bias.

I would agree. LA certainly needs some help on LD more than a winger. No argument there.

I just think that of they Kings wanted Tkachuk, they could do it. More a luxury than necessity.
