Bruins as an organization need to decide whether they want to keep competing or rebuild.........not sure they have yet made this decision.

Ownership has, no rebuild.

You think Boston fans will be happy waiting 5 years to be good again? A third of the fan base already has the attitude of anything less than the Cup is a massive failure.

This is a guy absolutely worth giving up the 1st and Wahlstrom for if you're Lou. Not Tarasenko, not JT Miller. But Pastrnak. at 26 y/o. Would love this for isles and think it's a fair deal.

I will agree with you I think they are leaning on a decision but not 100% sure and I think if they can float by the first 20 games without Marchy and Chucky then probably contend.

No they won’t. Pasta and the B’s are working now on a deal.

As an isles fan this is really a bargain. If Lou was handed this offer he'd be a fool to decline

Is it though? It isnt like the Bruins don't have the core to keep being competitive. Pasta, McAvoy, Hall, DeBrusk, Lindholm, Carlo, Grizz, Swayman is a pretty healthy group to continue moving forward with. Might not be contender status, but they'll likely be in the mix for a playoff spot. Its gonna be tough to find the next 1+2C, ill give you that. But they'll probably be able to maintain for a couple years, free up some cap space and find their next guy and be right in the thick of things again. As much as I'd be for a rebuild I just think the core is too talented to push for a tank or rebuild. And I dont think we'll see them have a complete fire sale either. I also think Lysell and Loheri are two huge prospects that the Bruins need to hope they hit on.
