Don't scratch Schenn, he's literally one of the best defensemen I've seen. Also is a good d-partner for any of our LD.

If you’re looking quantity the deal makes sense but I think that is way to much going back especially for a rental, Jersey declines

Disagree. There’s a significant amount of value going to VAN here but Devils have an abundance of young forwards as is.
There’s not really anything removed from their roster here and the only asset that kinda hurts giving up is Foote, but if JT is the return then it is definitely worth it.

Yes, I would agree with this. The notion he is a rental, that if the Devils flipped him at the deadline I think the Devils could get more quality (as opposed to quantity) deals if they eat half if they are out of the playoffs.

Canucks decline as well. There’s no quality pieces in that deal. Foote is okay but the Canucks don’t need any more wingers
