I think the plan is for CHI to leverage their cap flexibility through the next few years to acquire more assets. There are a lot of teams up against or over the cap right now that still don't have complete rosters. There is going to be a bidding war for CHI's cap space and that offer probably loses out against other cap dump offers. Plus you would have to get him to accept a trade to CHI, because I doubt CHI is on his list.
