Are you claiming that this is a contending team? or is this just supposed to be a step in the right direction?

Too many rookies for me to think they can contend… at best I’d say a bubble team imo

If Provy is coming off a career season I highly doubt he gets traded. They Brought TDA in to play with him. Also Would rather Trade TK for an NHL player of = age and Value instead of a Second Round Pick and Svechkov.

I projected the career high due to being paired with TDA,truthfully I’d prefer to move Provorov because I think Sanhiem has passed him as our top D, but keeping him is fine

TK I usually ask for a first and a prospect, but I like Svech enough to downgrade that first to a 2nd, but getting an equally good player could work as well. Or packaging him for an upgrade

Sanheim no doubt had the better season last year. But I'm still on the Provorov train. I think Provorov is the closest thing we have to a shutdown defenseman besides Ellis but he doesn't really count. The Problem with Provy Imo is he's bad on the breakout and he was forced to do it because Braun was even worse. In theory, DeAngelo should be able to move the puck for him and Provy can still provide offensively by trailing. Also, Provy has Term which makes him easier to keep.

I still don't see Detroit being in on this, as Yzerman was pretty emphatic he wasn't trading 1sts and our LHD prospect pool is easily the best in the NHL.

With that said, since the 1st is top 10 protected, I wouldn't be angry if this went through.

If Ellis comes back and is healthy next season, I dont see how you could keep Ristolainen on this team. Again, its a giant if though.

I assume he’s gone

Either by trade or retirement
