Take out Raty and you have a deal. Pick would have to be lottery protected tho***

If the pick was conditional I could maybe see it. But the real issue is that he probably isn’t waiving for Calgary anyway.

At least this dude didn’t ask for your top prospect. I’ve been waiting for him to comment that it’s worth I’m moving Raty to dump Bailey…. It isn’t but I still expect this dude to say that lol.

Why not? He's on record saying he has no interest in a rebuild and is from Western Canada. If anything I would think Calgary is one of the few teams he would waive to

I didn’t know if Calgary was going to be in win now mode by the time the season starts. Tbh I figured Toews ends up in Pittsburgh with his old buddy from high school lol.

You dont acquire Weegar and Huberdeau to just give up. Worst case Calgary is NYI west next year, low scoring grinder games

I'm fine with not getting Raty back but its gonna take more than a 1st, a 2nd, and a cap dump for Kaner at 50%.

What other forward prospects you got? Or any Goalie Prospects?

No i mean 21/22. Even before the Tkachuk trade returned 2 legitimate high end NHLer's it was impossible for Calgary to bottom out with their depth, goaltending, and coach.

Im saying at worse they will be a mid teens pick.

Patrick Kane is 34 years old. I wouldn’t trade more than this. Also I don’t think Bailey should be a cap dump, but in this market he probably is. I wouldn’t pay a premium to move him.

Commesso was just ranked 8th league wide for goalie prospects. I think Chicago is ok in that department for now

You got a first, second and a third for DeBrincat. Obviously that was the 7th pick but Kane is worth way less than DeBrincat wsd.

Oh I wanted your thoughts on something, if Kadri to NYI turns out to be true would the isles be open to a Beau - Kylington swap?

In my mind when someone starts asking about prospects for a 34 year old that’s when I stop listening. I don’t even like moving all this draft capital but it clears cap space for 2022-2024. I have no interest in repeating the Giroux trade florida made.

I dont see much issue with the Giroux trade by itself. The problem was the excessive spending elsewhere like Chiarot

To be honest idk. It’s fair value but I gave up trying to understand Lou a long time ago.

Also I don’t buy the Kadri rumors tbh. I think the isles beat writer for the athletic just got bored and made it up. I have a very low opinion of him lol.

The Debrincat trade was awful...and the reason they did it is because of how high they were on the guy they took at 7. You are not gonna get that with a mid 20s pick. Also we did not eat an awful contract with the cat trade. It would cost a second to send Bailey to the Hawks on his own. So no....a mid 20s pick is not enough for Kane. Look at what Florida gave up for Giroux at this TDL.

I’d rather have Vatrano, Tippet a first and a third than Giroux. Between the Giroux and Reinheart trades florida moved a lot of assets while not addressing their blue line. The Chiarot trade was also a mistake ofc.

I wouldn’t trade a second to dump bailey tbh. I understand some people would. I think those people should go kick rocks lol.

Fair enough, the Isles aren't as cap strapped as some other teams. I would be more inclined to take the 1st and 2nd without Bailey. I think we could still get another asset but I admit I am kinda biased lol.

Bailey and Leddy had terrible metrics for both cup runs while playing big minutes and racking up points. I think there’s a lot of value in using analytics. But it’s not a perfect system and it shouldn’t be treated like it is.

Dude there r isles fans who wanted to dump bailey when he was an all star. He’s just that guy who is controversial for no real reason. I have a buddy who is an oilers fan who hates Nuge. There isn’t a reason for it. He’s just wrong lol.

Regardless Bailey has no Value to the hawks who are actively trying to lose 82 games this season. But I could see how another team might feel differently.
