Likely landing spot closer to the TDL when the cap hit is significantly less due to proration and probably Chicago retaining some. All hinges on where the rangers are at in the standings though.

If I’m Chicago I go after the 24; with Kane NYR become a heavy cup contender, which means a post 28th overall. Why not wait the extra year since you are going through a rebuild anyway in hopes of a better pick since they won’t have kane anymore.
