Description

So if Kane would want to go home to Buffalo after this season. Calgary trade is if Huby walks and they decide to rebuild. If that first line is working you let Kane drive the 2nd line and upgrade the other wing there. Rotate the kids in the 3rd and with injuries etc they all get to play enough. I think this team looks pretty strong, only big question is goaltending but if UPL is not ready you still have a lot of nice futures to adress that.

Its not so much a value issue but Calgary would definitely want the 2023 1st

Fair enough. I was thinking about it more as an offseason move but draft day works too. So just swap the Van 1st with Buf 23 1st. Assuming it's not a super high pick ofc.

Minnesota accepts this deal. Mittlestadt would get an opportunity to play top 6 minutes on the Wild I think

That Bjorkstrand trade was a bit of a panic move from Jarmo. They just did it to get under the cap. Different situation. I think 1st+small cap dump is fair here.

Thats a lot to give up to shore up the RD spot, especially when Dahlin is RD

Yes Dahlin can play both sides but overall the D is stronger with 3 really good pairs. Also Magni is an upgrade over Olofsson. You guys have so much futures that i didn't think this would sting too much.

Mangiapane and Olofsson cancel each other out. Mangiapane hit 30 goals only this year and Olofsson has that potential as well. Also Krebs is part of those futures. plus 2 1sts on top of that. They could just throw money at Severson as a UFA

IMO Olofsson is more one dimensional. And i think Krebs could be moved to get a better D than someone like Severson as you still have Tage-Cozens-Savoie/Kulich(one on the wing) as future C core. I see your point too tho.
