Right now, users vote in the “was this a good signing” poll on each contract. But one has to click on to each, add up the votes, and compute a percentage. And there is no way to view this data as either a snapshot in time or to compare with other similar deals.

A few recommendations:

1. Show a percentage on top of raw number of votes. Just saves people a math step.

2. Make contracts sortable / findable by those percentages. Either through existing players/active players tool. Or as it’s own page.

3. It would also be interesting to see what the percentages were at first impression. Say, after a few days or weeks, a contract may be a lot more or less popular than it will be in couple of years.

4. Another simpler idea, may be to post the most-popular and least-popular contracts from the 2022 class. It would be interesting to look back in a couple of years. For instance, the 2016 UFA crop (Lucic, Ladd, Eriksson, Backes, Nielsen, etc) have a number of contracts that receive negative reviews now. But what was it two weeks after they all signed?

The data being collected on fan opinions is a really interesting resource that could be used to really engage users.

The same could also be done for trades (for instance #4 at each deadline).

To be able to accurately reflect the opinions of fans on moves though we’d need to be able to change our votes. Or else, certain moves will not represent the general consensus due to the amount of people who used their vote in the 1st days

Or votes once in first couple of weeks, then vote again later.

But right now, there is no way to capture any change in public opinion.
