How many of those 9 pieces are cap dump? I'm withholding my opinion about overpayment until I understand who all those guys are.

I know he was your hero, especially in the 2007 playoff run, but the guy is a ghost of the player you probably remember.

There's no amount of retention where the term on his deal makes any sense. To give this type of package as well is a complete mistake. I love EK to death, but barring a buyout he's not returning to Ottawa

Injuries have taken a toll and that contract was kind of the end of him trying, he’s a shell of the guy i was over the moon to get.

He was almost point per game pace when he got injured last year, had like 26 points in 31 games and was firmly in the Norris conversation the first quarter of the season. When healthy with the sharks he’s been elite. Unfortunately he hasn’t been very healthy.

We’re a different team with a healthy Karlsson. His zone entries are still top of the league. Without him we struggle. That says that he is still elite.

I agree with you 100%, but OTT would still be nuts to make this deal.

He'll never be dealt. Sharks fans face this fact every year.

Zaitsev would be the cap dump. We all know whats going on formenton. Abramov left the sens to go back to russia. Tychonick has played 4 years in college. Ostapchuk is interesting because he had a decent year in the WHL but absolutely tore it up in the playoffs.
Also Karlsson wasnt drafted until 2008 he wasnt there in the 07 run but was the fan favorite in ottawa for most of the 2010s.
