One, he is a snake, Tavares leaving the isles pissed me off like KD leaving the thunder. I didn’t like how he went about leaving the isles. Two, he is generally overrated imo and if he didn’t have such a big contract I don’t think he would be talked about nearly as much.

I’m tired of hearing about suzuki every time I try and see NHL media. And Laf I just don’t like idk why. He is like Reilly here, I just don’t like them idk why just they both piss me off.

Oh and seeing PLD is not surprising but I feel like a lot of it is very bad PR by his agent.

You may think it’s better but imo guadreau lived up to his contract and preformed so even though calgary got nothing for him, I think they can’t blame him for it.

JT was vocal about staying with the isles and then before free agency had even opened he had had a deal basically with the leafs.

The difference here is that with Tavares he made it seem like there was no chance he was leaving and once the UFA window opened, he had this massive announcement which was a big middle finger to the isles. Guadreau here hints at how he may leave and says how he hopes he left a good legacy which was basically the writing on the wall. The difference between JT and guadreau is that he wasn’t out the door by the end of his tenure with the team and it actually seems like he cares about calgary even if he doesn’t. Tavares had a whole video announcement that dropped the day of free agency and it was clear he was leading them on. Guadreau still tried with the flames and he hinted at leaving instead of flat out denying it and saying he wanted to be a life long flame. Not to mention I also think Tavares is grossly overrated so even if he wasn’t a snake I would still not like him. He’s just not a good person and not nearly as good of a player as he is made out to be.
