Beauvillier is better and younger than Wheeler, the isles aren’t doing that.

Isles are focused on signing Kadri and only moving out Bailey.

Do not want to bring in another 36 year old forward to a forward core that is already aging.

In which season has Beau ever outperformed Wheeler?

Friedman seems to think Beau is on his way out.

He drives play much better than Wheeler over the past 4 seasons. Wheeler plays with multiple star players and gets a ton of empty net points .

Just like the Isles where trading for Miller, then it was Anderson, and so on..

Could he go, maybe. But it should not be for a 36 year old guy when they need to get younger at forward and faster.

I know what seravelli said, he even said it was speculation, multiple other outlets have said that Bailey is the one who is getting traded

Wheeler plays with Scheif and Connor and can hold his own, yes. Not sure why that's a knock on him. And it's not like Beau's been playing with bums on the 4th line. Wheeler's had maybe 8 empty netters over the past four seasons, is that a ton? I get that Beau has a better upside now due to his age, but I don't think he has been better than Wheeler these past 4 seasons.

Anyway, hindsight, maybe Beau's a bit much for a 1:1 trade for an aging Wheeler, but Wheeler at $2.75M is a great deal.

The only positive about Wheelers game is he’s still a great playmaker, but he’s a replacement level forward at every other aspect of the game. Doesn’t drive offense, he’s one of the worst defensive forwards in the league with below average finishing talent.

Beauvillier is a line driver and his rate numbers have been very good over the past 4 seasons.
