bruins are trying to free up cap, not take on another 4 mill

-if youre acknowledging the leafs need cap space, then the jets for sure arent paying to take it on
-if youre acknowledging wheeler still averages a ppg and is a veteran presence then the jets for sure arent trading him for two fourth liners, especially when youve admitted foligno is a cap dump
-severson would be nice but youre trading from two positions of weakness (RD and RW) so not for that

Wheeler is a hard contract to move. yes he is still good but he is obviously on the downside of his career still being paid like a player in his prime.

Severson deal is decent but i think NJD hold on to him till Nemec is NHL ready.

think your paying a little to much for Konecny.

you way overpaid for Rodrigues, hes been an average depth player his whole career who happened to have his career year in his FA season. I wold be wary and offer a 1-2 yr. 2.5-3 mil only.


All in all not a bad plan to push your team over the hump into the playoffs this season though (right now I see the jets as 9-11 seed)

Trade with the bruins is brutal. Foligno was awful last year and rather see Wheeler stay and then find a UFA option similar to Frederic.
