Kristian Vesalainen is a 23 year old BUST. NO value for the HABS in this trade. HABS will keep Drouin and trade him for a 1st and + if he gets 50 points by the TDL. What most people forget is that Drouin was ,8 pts per game before he got injured.

Montreal needs a pretty big add to Drouin of they want to dump him and return FC.

Bet Milano stays in Anaheim.

I'd give a 3rd for Drouin with a bit of retention, Vesalainen likely never returns, would probably keep his rights though.

Drouin built into a Dubois trade makes more sense, he probably has Winnipeg on his no trade list though.

Drouin reunited with Ehlers could be good with Dubois centering them
You are right Vesalainen could go back on the reserve list so you could keep him, I was trying to add a contract spot going the other way

It's not only about points ... Drouin doesnt go in front of the net, don't go near the boards and can't play defense. Yes he is a really good playmaker, thank god otherwise he wouldnt be playing in the NHL

Points win you games, going in front of the net or in corners and winning pucks but not putting up points is useless (sounds like Anderson)

Anderson has been MTL 2nd best goals scorer in his first year and 3rd best goal scorer in his second year with the Habs despite battling injuries … plus he hits and goes in corners and in front of the net … Anderson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Drouin at 750K

Anderson 24 pts in 52 games and 32 pts in 69 games
Drouin 23 pts in 44 games and 20 pts in 32 games
It says a lot about HABS fire power
Time to trade them both. Make space for the young guns, Joshua Roy, Riley Kidney, Jesse Ylonen, Filip Mesar etc.

Roy and Kidney need another year in the Q and probably a year in Laval. Same goes for Mesar. Ylonen is the only one ready to take a spot, and that will probably happen after Drouin and Dadonov are yraded at TDL. We can wait one or two years before trading Anderson, if ever he's traded.

Doesn’t work like that, Roy Kidney Mesar aren’t close to be NHL ready
Only Ylönen is but we have too many wingers on 1-way contract
