Bennet for Girard straight up makes sense. I think Avs fans r gonna have to let go of the idea they will get a pick in the process. But Sakic is just as good a GM as he was a player so anything is happening.

Oh, they would be dumb to do so but they desperately need to get better on the blueline if they want to win a Cup. Like I said, it would have to be an overpay for the Avs to trade Girard so, if I'm GM, that's my price.

Calgary didn't need a C, they needed a scoring wing. But if it's about the cap, Avs will happily take on Hornqvist to get Lundell. Again, FLA needs a lot of help on the blueline if they want to contend, especially after trading Weegar so if they want Girard, Lundell is the price. There is a .000001% chance of that happening but if I had Bill Zito on the phone and he wanted Girard, I'd say, "Lundell and we'll take Horny or no deal; final answer." I don't NEED to trade Girard so I can ask for that return; it's up to Zito to decide after that.

Bo is awesome and going to be an elite player as long as he stays healthy (he basically led the team in TOI as a 21 year old in the cup clinching game 6). But Lundell is great too
