Dallas has $10.3 million in cap space right now, with Jason Robertson and Jake Oettinger still to re-sign. Barrie-for-Hakanpaa cuts that figure to $7.8 million. I don't think that the Stars can re-sign Robertson and Oettinger for an aggregate of $7.8 million.

I am an edmonton fan and I say Dallas doesnt do that trade because they dont have the cap space.
