Jets decline instantly. They don't have space to resign Miller and there is no way they are willing to trade Scheifele. Pearson doesn't have negative contract value (maybe you can fetch a 4th for him) whilst Dickinson does and is a cap dump (3rd to get rid of him). So, the Jets get:
1 year of Miller (rental)
2 years of an unreliable 4th line defensive forward in Dickinson with a 2.6M cap hit
2 years of Pearson
And give up:
2 Years of Scheifele (Canucks could make space to resign him)
Appleton (RFA, full control)
A good prospect in Barron
Another good prospect in Lundmark
A 1st
