I think the Devils can address more pressing needs if they trade Severson than adding a dman they don't really need.

Getting an injury-prone, less talented, older and more expensive LHD for Severson is certainly a trade.
Would be absolutely horrified if the Devils went ahead with this.

Its underwhelming for sure, but Muzzin does fill the defensive roll for them for a couple years. then the cap space is pretty big at that time for the Devils. Its only a rental lol. Thought Leafs could find a way to sign him.

Oh 100% not maximizing Severson's value. I dont know how to value the prospects in Toronto anymore so i don't usually put them in trades. trading Muzzin is kinda unnecessary if they can shed Kerfoot completely. Just not sure they want to trade another 1st rounder.
