It would make a lot more sense for Sid to come to Colorado. Younger team, better chance at a cup, longer cup window, actually has a spot open for a top 6 C

I know Pens fan like to have fun with this idea and think him playing with Crosby is a draw....Mack wants his own legacy to win cups to compare to Crosbys, not be a side kick in his retirement tour.

Except for the part where Crosbg is a generational talent and will be a top 8 player of all time. MacKinnon could resign elsewhere. Look at Panarin and Gaudreau. Not saying he will but its possible

Crosby gave them speeches every game in the stanley cup final. MacKinnon said "even though hes not on the team, it felt like he was" in an interview

Love the idea of Sid and Mack playing together; just can't see it happening either way other than on Team Canada

Yes Crosby has had a better career but how does that make PIT a better choice than COL? If they want to play together then it makes a lot more sense to do it in COL if they are trying to win

Mackinnon is regarded higher than Gaudreau and Panarin, Mackinnon has been considered a top 5 player in the league for the past 3-4 seasons consistently.

its a fun idea, i know. Avs fans would like that to happen as well. But to my original point. Macks drive to rival sids cup count is there, he wants a career as good as his idol, hes too yong to be worrying about playing with buddies and just to have fun.
