Description
Ullmark to NJ; I think this all depends on how the Devils feel on Blackwood and Daws development and performance. A lot of people for NJ to sign too, this deal could congest their cap. But generally this is what I would expect in any type of Ullmark trade as of today.

Grizz + 3rd to EDM; Idk what's up with Klefbom but maybe this is something that makes sense. Grizz is an upgrade over Kulak and Koekkoek imo. Broberg I dont know much about. Probably helps EDM save on cap as well. Think value is pretty fair. Idk if this gets it done though.

Reilly to Anywhere; Was a 3rd round pick this year. Might be a 4th round pick next year. Guess we'll see where the market is.

Coyle ($1.25M retained) + 3rd to Anywhere; Like Reilly, have to make it happen

DeBrusk + 1st to WPG; Idk how Jets fans will feel on this. There might be a little missing. Maybe a prospect like Loheri or a center prospect (Beecher/Harrison)? I feel I'm pretty close in terms of value though.

That's a pretty easy no from Winnipeg. With DeBrusk being a winger and the value being about what Winnipeg gets for Dubois as a rental at the TDL in 2 years, there's no incentive for Winnipeg to make the trade now.

Devils accept but only if they need to move on from Blackwood

This would be for next year. This is a 2023-24 mock so next off season would his price be around this? Like I said, I thought it was a tad light from BOS. But I think this is a likely starting point.

Yeah thats what I figured. Is there no hope for Daws? I remember his first start on DraftKings, I went heavy on the team the Devils were playing that night and he made like 40-45 saves that game lol.

Pretty easy no from Boston knowing he won’t sign here either.

Daws most likely won't be ready

Forget the unrealistic nature of this.

Just from a strategic standpoint. Eliminate all of the garbage vets (Dzingael, Edler, Del Zotto etc) and let the kids take those spots. Don’t do what management does. Sign old, mediocre vets to block young players.

BTW. You did not factor in bonus overages so you’d be over the cap.

If boston misses playoffs, they absolutely need to rebuild next year.

I don’t see what Devils say no to that. It’s an upgrade to their current goaltending tandem and at very reasonable price.

Only caveat is if Blackwood someone gets his head screwed on right this season and starts playing how we all hoped he would.

It might be a starting point, but the Jets would probably prefer Carlo over DeBrusk and the first to be in 23.

I gave the kids the 4th line and Lysell top 9! Loheri was moved in a trade. The vets are brought in just for experienced depth. But you are right, I forgot to include the overage. Might need to use some LTIR.

Klefbom? He hasn't played hockey in years. Edmonton is running Nurse, Kulak and Broberg on the left side, I don't see why they would be remotely interested in this deal. Besides, Grys makes more money than Puljujarvi, which is doesn't work for the Oilers present cap situation.
