Description

Scenario is this, Bertuzzi does not sign with wings in summer of 22, they go into season and then at deadline, sign him for 8 years and trade him to a contender as they fade out of the playoff picture netting a good young player and a first round pick.

Do you know how sign and trades work?

Chytil and a 2023 1st round pick is the equivalent for a rental.

If Yzerman does a sign and trade it's equivalence would be Chytil plus a 2023 1st round pick and a 2024 1st round pick and a 2023/2024 2nd round pick. Just look at the Seth

Jones and Hampus Lindholm trades.

On what planet is Tyler Bertuzzi worth nearly $9,000,000 per?

If it's a sign and trade for Bertuzzi, Detroit's getting more back than Filip Chytil and a 1st.

Also a 26yo ppg player with 30+ goals and upside is worth quite a lot actually.
