Heres something else to think about. If johnson and byrams other pairings are fine but when playing with girard they tank maybe girard actually is the issue????

bc Girard doesnt play PP1, he splits time on PP2 with Toews and the PP2 unit wasnt used much, they would get the last 30 seconds if at all.

I fully understand whats going on what i dont think you understand is that it might be skewing girards stats slightly but the model (which btw isnt jfreshs he just provides visualization) is built to try and isolate individual impacts regardless of teammates. It isnt perfect but its pretty good. Another thing it doesnt seem like you understand is that jacks comment is an inference he drew from the numbers. Not everyone will draw the same conclusion from the same data. I like what jack does bc i cant personally watch every team enough but hes not the second coming of jesus.
