O'Reilly Okposo Kane Eberle Carrier Foligno Larsson
Ristolainen McCabe Van Riemsdyk
Lehner

Pay Vegas to take Moulson (who still isn't a bad choice in his own right). Karabacek is a decent prospect on top of a 3rd round pick in this years draft.

Edmonton gets their 2nd pair RHD and a skilled winger, who sure has his injury problems, but also has more offensive upside than Puliot IMO. Can slide in anywhere in the bottom 9 and play all all over the ice. Retaining some of his salary makes it a little easier to take him on.
I know nobody thinks Bogosian is any good, but I think he could be a solid defender if used correctly, which he hasn't been in Buffalo. Sure, then why am I trading him? Still think a change of scenery couldn't hurt.
Edmonton gets rid of Eberle and his contract, as well as Puliot. Get their defender and another offensive piece and shed almost 3 million in salaries in the process.
Maybe Buffalo has to sweeten it a little bit due to injury concerns but I think it's a decent start.

Chicago sheds Kruger's contract and doesn't lose Van Riemsdyke for nothing. Girgensons is eligible for expansion so Chicago still meets their requirements, and is a cheap bottom 6 role player with plenty of upside should they keep him. Bailey has the speed and has shown he has offensive upside, and is expansion exempt. The 3rd adds a little bit in case Girgensons goes in the expansion, essentially making it a cap dump in Kruger/TVR for Bailey and a 3rd.

Don't hate the Edmonton deal; always thought an Ennis for Pouliot would be a fair one-for-one so therefore Bogo for Eberle needs to be a fair one-for-one and definitely don't see that. Whether you toss in a 2nd rounder or a 3rd and a prospect, Eberle for Bogo isn't fair unless some money is retained by Buffalo. If we land TVR from Chicago I'd be thrilled.

Hawks might do that deal just to get rid of some cap. Maybe you don't even have to give them Bailey (who I like)

Yeah I thought I might have to add a little more, even with retaining money on Ennis. Not a big deal though, think a deal could get done.

I like Bailey too, but I think the Hawks still need to get something back if they're going to expose Girgensons and could lose him after dealing for him. I don't think just a 3rd on top of it enough to entice them. In my eyes TVR > Girgensons AND Bailey. Bailey hasn't quite shown that scoring touch in the NHL that he had in the minors, but I think he could blossom in that Chicago system.

A 2RD on a Cup contender? Not even close - Bogosian is a buyout candidate. Chiarelli laughs in your face all day.
