greig + jarventie + 1st = chychrun based on ARZ's ask
OTT could probably wait it out and not have to pay one of those pieces (greig, jarventie, pick) so that the asking price goes down though

Ottawa isn’t moving 2 of their top 5 prospects and 2 1sts. That’s absolutely ridiculous and makes the team worse longterm. Not trying to destroy the team . Greig isn’t being moved unless it’s close to a 1 for 1. Greig + 2 1sts doesn’t make sense for Ottawa.

The only deal that makes sense is:
Zaitsev
Thomson/JBD/Brannstrom
Jarventie/Ostapchuk
2023 1st (slight protection)
2024 1st (slight protection)

If Dorion does that, he reverts to being bad GM. He has improved a lot recently and isn't the worst NHL GM anymore. Don't want to ruin that with this trade.

If Arizona's asking price is too much, then let someone else pay it up (nobody will)

And Zaitsev is only owed 7M$ for 2 years, 3.5 per year. If he was paid 2.0 he wouldn't be considered such a dump. And he would be ok somewhat sheltered on a 3rd pair
