for like the 7th time, a miller deal 99% chance comes with an extension. and hes 29 in his prime, players hit their primes at different points. not everyone is a stud in their early 20s. and you absoutly can get high value for a 99 point player tf are you talking about

You can’t get top prospects for expiring 29 year olds. And you are overvaluing what Miller’s extension would be worth. And IK you don’t believe Miller will be that good into his mid to late 30’s cause you only want to give him a six year extension. Miller isn’t taking that. You know that which is why you are defending a proposal that is this bad lol.

He’s not gonna be great thru his 30’s in all likelihood. The fact u refuse to acknowledge players get worse as they age is weird af lmao.

dont know where i refused that. but he is not gonna fall off a cliff at the age of 30. has at least 5 ELITE years left. Raty wont be near the level of miller in the next 5 years. the fact you cant wrap your head are that is weird af

The dude also suggested a contract Miller would never sign. A lot of fans out there care more about “winning” when it comes to their fake trace proposals. Like dude. We don’t make those calls. We r legit just discussing what would be fair value. And it seems like some Canucks fans really struggle with the idea JT Miller isn’t the second coming lmao.

Yes, they conveniently forget his age and the cap hit and term of his next contract, which will not age well, and they all know that and is the reason they are desperate to trade him.

Agreed, but then why to Canuck fans do nothing but complain to the monitors when one of their players is in a trade proposal they don't like? They have no problem posting trades that other teams fans don't like but complain when it's their team. Why is that?

They are literally knock off Canadians fans. Like they even copied Montreals name lmao.

not sure as i am not all canucks fans, and every teams fans do that not just the canucks. its exactly what your doing right now. all im saying is thats is completly unfair and unrealistic to have such a long list of untouchable players for a guy who litter just scores 99 ****ing points

If you think that Miller has five elite years left u r deluded. He’s gonna be around 34 then when he has his last “elite season.”

It is fair to have a “long list” if that includes every teams top prospect lol. You wouldn’t trade Podkolzin for Miller if JT Miller was an islanders player. So knock this **** off lol.

do you not read what say? havnt once defended this proposal or said miller wont regress with age. hence why i said id probably max out giving him 6 years at a higher cap hit. if he wants term he probably lands around 8x8 which i think would look bad in years 6,7,8. doesnt mean a team wont do it though teams sign bad contracts all the time

if the canucks were pushing for a stanley cup i absolutely would. which is why i said if you think the islanders shouldnt be trading prospects for NHLers then they should rebuild. Lekhonen got a top prospect and a 2nd for ****s sake and millers twice the player he is

I'm not complaining to the forum monitors, I am simply disagreeing with you. I'm not asking this trade proposal be taken down, so its two very different things. What many Canuck fans seem to miss is JT's maximum value in any trade lies with a team that has 2 things....1. cap space to sign him long term, and 2. the desire to own his next contract which in all likelihood with be expensive and not age well. Any team that doesn't meet both those conditions are only going to pay a rental value for him, which most likely will not include their best young prospects and/or players.

Lmao that’s a terrible defense. “Teams make bad decisions all the time so the isles might do this. ****ing idiots.”

Isles don’t need to rebuild. Just need to provide adequate defense for Ilya Sorokin.

i agree with you completely. however none of us are in any NHL teams front office so all we can do is speculate on cap friendly. no one knows which team would have the money/want to extend miller. canucks have made it clear they will not sell low aswell so most miller trades proposed by canucks fans are going to be getting full value out of miller. maybe its to the isles maybe its not but they have made clear they will not undersell on him

He turned 27 after the season and his contract will carry him to 32. Miller will be 30 after this year and his next contract will carry him to 38. Stop pretending there is a double standard Lmao.

yes im insane for thinking a 99 point player making the same as a 4th liner is worth a 2nd round pick who likely never becomes close to the player miller is right now. yes im the insane one
