Miller says no, From what's being reported he wants to play in the States. And i doubt Miller takes anything less than 8.5 x 7 years.

Genuine question for Flames fans, how good is Andersson? Is his defensive game good enough to play with Hughes?

There has never been any validity to that rumor. People just assume that every American wants to play in the States. I'll agree with you on the contract demands tho.

Miller wants 8-8.5 mill per year, he would already be signed with VAN if he agreed to sign for 7.5 x 7. Also, VAN is not moving Miller to a division rival.

Andersson is our #1 defenseman IMO, but I wouldn't pair him w/ Hughes (not that I am interested in trading Ras), Andersson is solid defensively, but one of the things that makes him so good is the way he pinches, you take that away from him to protect Hughes and you really limit his game IMO.

To elaborate on this, he's not the fastest skater so pinching is what he plays to his strength. It's why he paired so well with Hanifin because NH is very fast and can generally handle the back check and 2v1
