Isles decline, have no interest in trading Beau, the D is set and the Isles have a strong D pipeline already.

It's too late for the Isles to add a piece here. They'll stick with what they have and hopefully be in a spot come the deadline to add some pieces after the $2.5m in cap space accrues

What cap space do they need? They signed everyone and still have plenty left over.

I really like Heinola but Samberg has looked very good. I see the Jets squandering Heinola in the minors and ruining his potential value.

Yep as others have said, this deal only makes sense if they need cap space for a big fish singing and need it fast. That ship has sailed for them I think.

Long time no talk F50marco! I was hoping Lamoriello still had a big move to make. I'd like to find someone in need of LHD that has a second line forward to spare.
F50marco liked this.

That’s true. With Samberg around it has kind of ruined Heinola’s potential to be great.

Long time buddy, good to see you back! cheers

Yeah I think the Isles could be interested in a Dillon type but it would be at the cost of a more expensive but better and more valuable forward IMO. So something like a Bailey for Dillon swap with maybe a pick included on whoever's side deserves it more. Same goes for MTL actually if there are injuries and youngsters don't quite pan out as expected, I could see a Hoffman for Dillon swap happening. I think WPG may be a little weak on the wings and Hoffman is a PP specialist and still capable sniper paired up with the right ppl.

Maybe this could even be added on to a potential Dubois trade awesome face

i agree. i dont think these are deals the jets should make but moving on from Dillon and/or Schmitt creates the room for the young D
