Although it's alot, Canucks have too many forwards. With additions of Kuzmenko, Mikheyev, and Lazar, something had to give.

Hoglander isn't the player we want him to be and will be passed by Kuzmenko and Mikheyev.

Boeser is a great scorer, but we have lots of forwards and he's still young enough to get good value.

Dipietro is hard to give up but has been passed on the depth chart.

And adding a 1st round pick, I think is what it's gonna take.

Chychrun is a top 4 RHD, and cost controlled for 3 more years. He's gonna be hard to get.

With all of this, we also save about $3M in cap space to sign Horvat to an extension next season.

This is terrible for the Canucks. Chychrun isn’t even a RHD (although he can play the right side)

Canucks also have one of the worst prospect pools in the league. Trading a 1st in a stacked draft as well as a talented 21 year old middle 6 winger with top 6 upside is a terrible idea. I’d be open to moving Hoglander in the right deal, but this is not it

Canucks prospect pool is nowhere near being the worst. It's more middle of the pack

We have Lekkerimaki and Rathbone, none of our other prospects are that great. We’re probably bottom 10 in the league at best

Klimovich isn't bad. Jonathan Myrenberg, Linus Karlsson, Nils Aman, and Elias Pettersson 2.0 look pretty decent
