The Habs aren't doing this. Byron has no value but he'll likely at least start the year on LTIR. No need to give up a pick and use a retention spot on a guy who may not even play.

Then he'll play on our 4th line and mentor our young guys. His health is a massive concern though. Hasn't been able to stay healthy since Weegar knocked him out pre-COVID. It's a shame. However, Montreal is not in the business of paying to dump contracts right now. Maybe if we have a retention spot open we will move him for nothing at the deadline if he is healthy. But as of now, Drouin, Dadanov, Monahan (or fallen) will likely be retained on

edit: it was a full year before COVID when weegar knocked him out. It's a real shame, he was a great player but he hasn't been the same since.

Montreal has a lot of money tied up in unnecessary forwards thanks to Bergavin. Dvorak is one of thew few good additions he made. Avs should keep him as their 3C.

Hope not. Would love a Suzuki, Bedard/Fantili (hehe), Dach, Beck/Evans down the road.

If they can get something for him, I would like to see him moved. Maybe at the deadline when someone will overpay (Like Bergevin did in the first place)

Dvorak was a good acquisition, for the wrong price. Should not have moved a first for him. Maybe a couple of seconds but not a first. Bad timing by a bad GM who was trying to save his job.

Can Joe keep up? I wouldn't hate bringing in ol Greybeard. My guess is he goes to the Swiss league.

LOL good one, if it's an expiring contract why tf would we pay to get rid of it? We're in a rebuild champ, he's off the books once it matters so we sure af won't be paying someone to take him AND retain on him. Not saying he's worth much but still 0 chance of this happening.

Nah. Byron has no value. The Habs should just bury his contract IMO.
