Right now, like a 2nd. If they wait until TDL and Mittelstadt produces theyll get more. Idk why people think Byram is a fit in Buffalo. Nothing Buffalo needs less than a LD

He’s better than Jost if healthy. And tbh I’m not sure why Jost isn’t better than he is. Maybe he will figure it out tho.

Hes had one injury in his career

Wasn’t he injured before he signed his ELC?

No he was just phyiscally weak. Couldn't do a pull up or push up

Jost is a better skater and defensive player than Middlestadt.

Middlestadt is more like Strome or Hartman imo. He will be good if he plays with the right guy cause he has good hockey sense and can mass produce points at a clip Jost never did.

Ugh. I just cringed when I read this. There's a reason the Sabres just drafted 3 centers in the first round. He's never been one of my favorites, doesn't matter, gonna get a whole lot of him this year. What do you do with a guy like that? Not talented enough to play center in the top 6, missing all of the skills you would see in a bottom 6 center. I guess you force feed him offensive zone starts and make sure he's playing with asplund, but you've got other young centers that would benefit from those same offensive zone starts.

I've been curious. With the emergence of Byram would something around Mittelstadt and Bryson for Girard work? With whatever other picks/prospects need to be included to even out the values.

    Yes

Mitts is a talented player who shows more flash than your average 3rd line center. He’d be an ideal 3rd line guy if he won more face offs. He’s also a shootout weapon when he’s feeling good about himself. This could really be a make or break year for him.
