If Dach has a really good season and appears to be headed for a top 6C future and you add something like Barron from Montreal and take out Stanley, as there is no reason for Winnipeg to give him away for nothing, then you might have something.

MTL passes, we don't want PLD. WPG can keep him.

Severson will get at least 6 x $6,500,000.

And Toews at least 3 x $5,500,000 not those low ball numbers.

Thing is, Montreal DOES want PLD! Thats a fair trade!

We inquired because there was a perceived interest from PLDs camp, can't see us moving assets now for a non competitive season to begin with. If this trade answered all the issues in MTL sure but it doesn't and therefore doesn't work for MTL.
