Nice to see Ehlers getting some respect, it's really a shame the Jets are going to waste the best years of him and Connor.

Makar over Fox, Kaprisov is arguably one of the 4 best wingers in the league and is definitely better than DeBrincat. I’d put Marner ahead of Stone.

Interesting im not sold on him. I dont think hes as good as the 'swear by analytics' crowd makes him out to be. Hes still a 1st pair guy but i guess im just not as high on him. Also id really like to see how he fares away from the very unique FLA style of play. I have some system questions with him that i dont with hanifin.

LW is absolutely stacked. Make a legit case for who kaprizov should be ahead of that i dont have him ahead of.

Stone is an absolute beast. It doesnt help that he was injured and played with a 75% eichel.
Kap is not definitely better than debrincat. Theres a case for both certainly but cat might be a top 3 goal scorer in the league (after ovi and matthews).

Stop it. Demko is really good but hes firmly in 6th place. Hellebuyck imo is closer to saros/sorokin than he is to demko.

Results this season say otherwise. Sorokin, Saros, Demko, and Hellebuyck are in the same tier, however Demko>Hellebuyck. Simply didn't perform too great this past season

Basing everything off of one season is a fools errand. Am i underrating demko? Maybe. I just think in the past 2 years hellebuyck has been massively underrated in part bc he already held a top 2 spot and people naturally like the new thing more.

If basing everything off of one season is a fools errand, then why is Shesterkin and Sorokin so high? Both of them just had their first year as a starter. Even Demko has 2 seasons as a starter, and he was pretty darn good in both of them

I’d put Kaprizov number 1 but I think you can argue everyone that’s ahead of him to be ahead of him besides DeBrincat. Gaudreau and Huberdeau are both 110+ point guys at least last year, Marchand is an amazing overall player near 100 points when fully healthy, Ovechkin is still a 50 goal scorer playing with lesser players, but DeBrincat for sure belongs behind Kaprizov. Yes he seems like a certified 40 goal scorer now but he played with Kane and yet his numbers aren’t even that close to Kaprizov. So I guess it’s reasonable to have Kaprizov behind most of those guys, though I don’t agree, but he definitely belongs ahead of DeBrincat

1st of all shesterkin in his 1st season played like 12 games and had 40+ saves in like every one. His 2nd season he was the clear starter and he was very good. Then in his 3rd season he put up one of the greatest seasons ever by a goalie. Theres a reason i have him behind vasy even though you could make a legit case for him at 1.
As for sorokin hes only been the starter for 1 season and he was elite. Its a fools errand if you have a larger sample size. In a case of a lack of a larger sample size you use what you have.
Over the past 2-3 seasons hellebuycks been better than demko.

No man, Demko can win games on his own, Helle can't.

Demko is somewhere in the 3-5 range, Helle ranks somewhere in the 6-10 spot.

I watch all the Jets games, Helle doesn't steal games, Demko does.

Helle gives them good enough goaltending to win games but he rarely if ever wins them on his own like the truly elite goalies can and do.

If youre going to mention teammates then gaudreau had tkachuk and huberdeau had barkov and marchand had both bergy and pasta. Should they be behind kaprizov bc of that? No they shouldnt. Cats played 5 seasons and has hit 40+ goals in 2 of them already not to mention a 3rd (20-21) whoch was a shortened season where he had 32 goals in 52 games which is on pace for over 50. (Also i know this shouldnt really count but in roughly 375 games hes missed just 4 and those were bc of covid contacts not injury. At his size playing just under 400 games without missing 1 due to injury is really good).

Whaaaaaaaat? The only reason the jets were relevant before this year was bc of hellebuyck. 🤦🤦🤦🤦 hellebuyck cant win games on his own ffs at least try to be somewhat objective.

Demko Shesterkin and Sorokin basically are on the same career path. One full 82 game season playing 50+ games, one shortened season playing 20-35 games, and then short stints in the earlier years of their career. As for Hellebuyck, he used to be at the top, however that is not the case anymore. He was better in the COVID bubble season which was Demko's rookie season, however this year Demko was clearly better as Hellebucyk regressed A LOT. Given how goalies performances can fluctuate from year to year, the safest way to compare goalies by how well they performed most recently. Who knows, maybe Hellebuyck bounces back and Demko falls next season. Goalies are like that as shown by guys like Markstrom and Anderson jumping around. Overall, Demko has easily been the better goalie as of late and it isn't particularly close

He has always been a solid goalie. Had a "down year" compared to his previous elite years. Still in my top 6
