The way you wrote that just doesn't seem like you're very secure or confident about that

You have no way of being able to tell

Gaudreau's a liar. he said a lot of things that didn't materialize. Yes, Goaltending was your biggest need, but signing Vitek Vanecek was a huge step in the right direction, so now it's a 1.00PPG+ LW in my eyes, since you already have solutions internally coming up to bolster your Defense, both at LD & RD

It’s goaltending, but hardest position to evaluate via trade.

If we were to do some massive deal, I think a Mercer+dman for Spencer Knight (or similar deal) helps us more.

Otherwise…with Sharangovich, Palat, Holtz, Wood, Foote, Gritsyuk on left side, I don’t think there is a sense of urgency to add another. Especially if we are paying 1C prices.

It is more quantity than quality. I guarantee you the Canucks don't value Shakir as a first round pick. It has to be Nemec or L Hughes. What is so hard to understand about that?

Probably Nemec+Mercer…but I doubt either team is looking to do this sort of deal.

Garland-for-Severson (or similar) or even a Pearson-for-Walsh scenario all seem more fitting.

Yes, they got a 1st + Very Good Prospect in Faber = 2 Pieces

I offered a 1st + 3rd + 1st/Mukhamadullin + a 2nd/Ohktiuk + 3rd(more like another late 1st/2nd now)/Thompson + Tatar as a replacement to make the $$$ work. As if, Severson for Hoglander isn't reasonable, considering VAN has tons of LW's and desperately needs help on D, especially on the right side. Severson is likely the Chiarot at this year's Trade Deadline, no!?

I see VAN Trading Pettersson before Quinn Hughes. Much harder to find a Stud Defensemen than a Left Shot C/LW

You act like Pettersson isn't a top 15 center. He is our 1C, and will be as long as he's on the team. Your package could get you Horvat, and you can negotiate your extension

Pearson for Walsh doesn't seem very good for New Jersey

I Agree Juice, That'd be a Terrible Trade for NJD

Garland for Severson would be risky for VAN toio, would you even consider it? You'd only have Boeser and LW Kuzmenko as your only Right Shot Top-9 Forwards, is that ideal!?

It’s just what came to mind as lesser version of Sevs/Garland. Maybe it’s younger forward instead.

But you get the idea. A hockey trade. Winger for RD.

Why not? Pearson is a proven middle six winger and Walsh's ceiling is 3rd pair

Young RHD have a lot of value right now. Pearson is a solid player but not much trade value

Walsh is pretty good. Worse offensively than Rathbone, a bit better defensively. I wouldn't trade Rathbone for a middle six winger

Explain to me how a 1C places 4th in Team Faceoffs!? He's not even a 1C, he's a LW. Bo Horvat and JT Miller are your 1C's

Faceoffs are not really that big of a deal. The Colorado Avalanche won the cup with the 4th worst faceoff win rate in the entire league during the regular season

Pettersson definitely is a 1C. Your argument is irrelevant

I don't think many people outside of Vancouver would consider Rathbone an A-prospect but I still wouldn't trade him for Tanner Pearson

I think you randomly make ip these "ceilings" in your head and on the fly, you have absolutely no clue do you. Just a random guess statement so it fits your argument, Nice!

He's played well and put up 1st Pairing numbers everywhere he's played: https://www.capfriendly.com/players/reilly-walsh

I mean the guy walks in, plays 20 shifts and 14:30 minutes in his very 1st NHL Game, Blocks 2 Shots, Gets 3 Shot Attempts Assists in a Goal, Allows No Goals Against, Starts 60% of Faceoffs in his own D-Zone, yet had a CF% of 64.0. Only 1 game I know, but who steps in and does that, that's impressive

I wouldn't either, but I would still take Rathbone over Walsh in a heartbeat

Its called having a good day. One game literally means nothing. What about all those fringe NHL goalies that just happen to get a shutout in their first game?

So just because you two say so, that makes him a 1C now!? End of debate!? My question and the facts I provide are irrelevant!? Okay lol Petterss is not a 1C, he's not even the Vancouver Canucks 1C

FYI - Just to help you guys out, your 1C is the forward (you know, one of those 3 players up front, the guy in the middle) on the ice the majority of the time, taking a majority of the faceoffs.

Faceoff's ≠ Center gabriel landeskog had almost double the amount of faceoffs then Nathan MacKinnon and no one here is thinks Landeskog is Colorado's #1C

Your only argument is that Pettersson isn't a 1C because he is not good at faceoffs. I guess that means MacKinnon is not a 1C either. He is also not good at faceoffs. Maybe provide a little more one why Pettersson can't play center except for a completely invalid argument that can easily be refuted

That's Not True FakeNews Never Happened. Kadri took more faceoffs this season, but MacKinnon was injured and has been the past 3 seasons, but Landeskog has not taken more faceoffs than MacKinnon, certainly not double. Let's stick to the truth and facts here please

You guys are making things up and saying I said or inferred something I never ever did. That's not very ethical behaviou.

I find myself surrounded by a bunch of Canuck bull manure here, so I'm gonna have to bid you guys adieu, since y'll really stinking up this place and make **** up
