The Yotes are currently over the cap floor by a couple of million dollars. They're probably not taking dumps, especially if they aren't being paid to do so.

I have heard that ladd is going on ltir because he failed his physical so they would be under the cap floor.

Yeah, you don't get the cap relief from LTIR until you hit the ceiling. It's pretty non-consequential for a team like the Yotes. Clears a roster spot, but doesn't clear cap.

But they don't have to put him on LTIR. He can just be on IR which counts against the cap.

    Foegele isn't a cap dump.

Even more funny, he would be 5th on their team in goals and 5th in points.
Not sure why everyone thinks he is a cap dump?

Oh, here I was thinking that the OP was dumping his cap hit off the books to make the team cap complient. My bad. Have we missed the lineup of teams out there willing to solve other teams cap issues so far this year, or is it just me?

Hahaha, with a 21 man roster and enough cash leftover to buy a copy of NHL 23 and a big mac meal.

Holland already stated that they'll be going into the season with a 21 or 22 man roster. And the point of maximizing LTIR is to get as close as you can to the cap limit when you go in.
