Lucius is not making the team. Which is fine, he needs at least a year in the AHL.

You're probably right about spending the year in the A, but maybe he starts with the team...gets a few games on the ice, a few in the press box before he's demoted

I’m okay with that. Just give him prime AHL minutes. Lambert should be in the A as well.

I think Lambert should get nine games. He's looked really good in the two games he's played. But yea, let him spend the rest of the year in the AHL. Lucius being sent down is ok with me, his skating needs work. While he has an NHL-ready shot and hockey sense, he needs to adapt to the smaller rinks.

I think Barron (waivers exempt) will get sent down as he has missed quite a bit of training camp and Maenalanen probably takes that spot on the 3rd line.

Agreed. Give him 9, see what he can do and send him to the moose. Also give him the max ELC deal, add a lot of performance bonuses to incentivize the kid to play hard.

Lambert is much closer to NHL ready than I thought. He’s got elite skating for even the NHL, He could end up being a high end top 6 winger in 2-3 years as he’s only 18…..

For once winnipegs future is looking somewhat bright after a really solid 2022 draft. I like Salomonsson a lot, Lambert is incredible and I think McGroarty will be a good leader.
