Holl would be your best defensive dman by all defensive analytics. Lybushkin is probably your worst and that’s coming from someone who watched Lybushkin play

He was a rookie who worked his way up from 8th dman to top pair from December to April, cant just blindly look at the numbers that you like

Don't you think its because of lack of defensive depth on team last year?

I think you're the one just picking and choosing based of analytics. Name on analytic, or how Holl is a terrible dman. He's probably 5-6th best on Toronto but that's due to how deep their defensive core is.

First, Holl would be a good addition, it is impossible to know if Karmanos would be willing to give up pick for him.
Second, Holl is a good stay at home RHD, but Samuelsson is a good stay at home LHD.
Mattias gets better every game.
He will never win any awards but he is solid.
