Is he not well liked in Ottawa ?

The World Juniors thing looms pretty large with Formenton. Combining that with the fact that he's gonna be off the team regardless for cap reasons after this season, and it's really just hard to care at all about him. Add to the mix Tyler Motte coming in and looking awesome, and it's hard to say if Ottawa is really even missing him at camp all that much.

what he is as a player hasn't changed, but that level of player just matters less to the team after the off-season they had.

You think Forsberg will be the starter ?

Yes his athleticism is off the charts and he makes acrobatic saves and has great reflexes . Plus he had .917 save percentage last year

He was a top-12 goalie last season

Admittedly, I didn't see it coming and I don't think he's a flash in the pan

It's coming from someone who called Andrew Hammond like that when everybody was raving about him as he was having insane stats in 2014-15 (20-1-2 and 0.941 SV%)

He was excellent for Ottawa last year. .917 sv% and a 2.82 GAA. Advanced goalie stats were even more impressive, putting him the top 15 range of starting goalies last year. On a brutal defensive team.

I think it'll be a tandem, but going into the season Forsberg is who you're betting on imo. He's the guy until Talbot shows otherwise. Sens haven't been in this good of a position in net since Anderson/Condon in 2017.

I know Forsberg is really good, I just thought Talbot was a more solidified starter. But like all of you said, he was too good last year to not begin the year as the starter
