Description
Slaf & Mesar will likely start in the AHL ; Mesar might be sent down to the OHL after 9G if he can't keep up.

Xhekaj likely gets his 9G tryout until Edmundson comes back from IR then goes down to the AHL.

Heineman imo is the one wild card remaining. If he continues to impress, I think Hoffman goes from a healthy scratch to being sent down to the AHL.

Barron is the other wild card just because of how weak the right side is. Having Harris on the top pair might not be best suited for him (he's more of a long-term project to maybe top out as a steady 4RD, Let's see if they pick up anybody on waivers (and likely send down Pezzetta as a result to accomodate). Either a RD or a G are possibilities.

There could be a chance Montreal and Pittsburgh are working on another trade involving POJ since he may be available.

I cannot believe you’d actually think Dvorak would go for a 1st round pick! Do you even realize how crazy that statement is?! I am astonished that you would even recommend that Dvorak to Philly for a 1st?! You have got to be freakin kidding me man. The most sane person wouldn’t even suggest Fletcher would send one 1st alone for Dvorak.

The most sanest person would agree that Fletcher would give up more than just one 1st for Dvorak.

A veteran healthy scratch … last time that happened was in the 2021 Playoffs run when Tatar got scratched

I recall the Detroit/Vegas trade. 😁 Tatar to Vegas for a 1st, 2nd a 3rd.

Then Tatar, Suzuki and a 2nd for Pacioretty 😆

Hahaha, thought about it....I think for PHI it covers while Couturier is out or Morgan Frost can't deliver, but MTL would have to add something really. a 4th and 5th. Its really a move PHI doesn;t have to make, but Dvorak and Scott Laughton can both play C or LW, and if Dvorak can rebound, maybe PHI moves him for more, but MTL would jump on that offer at the moment.

Oh my, at first I thought you mentioned Mtl sending Dvorak + FLO's 1st (in '23, which they have) in exchange for future considerations. I did not realize that Philly had FLO's 1st next year.

Am sure the Habs could attach one of their 4th rounders (3) this year to facilitate such a trade, which probably makes sense now considering Couturier's injury.
