Why do you have Kapanen as a cap dump?

I doubt the pens are paying to offload Kapanen or Pettersson. They wouldn’t have signed Kapanen to that contract to immediately treat him as a cap dump and pay to get rid of him. They’d have just let him walk in free agency. And if they were interested in paying to trade Pettersson they’d have probably done it by now.

Because CHI has multiple Dmen ready for an NHL shot AND they also have McCabe who will be healthy soon. They have SO many LHD to sort through over the next few years, it doesn't surprise me in the least that they moved Stillman.

I could see Kapanen being moved. Maybe not right not, but at trade deadline possibly. I wouldn't trade both POJ and Pettersson though.

Personally I'd rather trade POJ packaged with a forward (McGinn or Kapanen), but I'm curious if they're going to trade Pettersson given he was out last night.

It's possible, but unlikely.

I think, unless CHI is getting a bonafide top pairing partner for Jones, they won't be adding LHD any time soon.
