Imo they should have Mercer as 2C

I do agree Mercer should be 2C, but they ran with Haula today. My guess is with Nico back, Haula to 3C, Mercer to 3RW, Zetts pushes Bastian out on most games when we don't need to fight.

I wasn't a Tatar fan coming in, but he's played VERY well, beyond just the stats.

I haven’t noticed him this preseason tbh — I’ll take ur word for it, but I’d rather have Zetterlund or one of the kids in the lineup if I was a devils fan.

Tatar has been pretty good this preseason. I would scratch McLeod or Bastian as they don’t provide much offensively and play a similar role

Tatar found his groove in pre-season. But long-term, no doubt, go with youts.

I mean, I do have Tatar and Zetts on the same line there. It's Geertsen (who gets sent down when Nico returns) and Boqvist (who gets sent down when Bernier needs to come back) that are the forward scratches. Bastian would be scratched when Nico is back and Zetts drops to 4RW.

I would not put Boqvist on waivers just to add Bernier onto roster as third goalie. Send a goalie down instead.

I cannot see Bastian/ Mcleod getting scratched. They are perfect for the 4th line win faceoffs, hit, and kill penalties.
