So they make a priority to sign him on the 1st day of free agency and now waive him 11 games in 🤦‍♂️

I will yes he has not been noticeable but still dude has 21 hits in only 6 games, don’t get this

I still havent noticed him a single time, and I consider myself much lower on him than most, but it is questionable that he was signed so quickly and is being waived so early

Only positive I can see from this is WHEN he is claimed it frees up a SPC (🤞crossing them so hard for a Petruzelli contract) If they can get him on a 3 year deal like Thompson that could play out huge down the line

If he played the way he did in Colorado it would have been a great signing for our bottom 6. As he had the speed, forecheck, and skill to chip in some goals here and there. Thought he would be a nice 4th line replacement for Simmonds. But he disappeared almost instantly. Dont know if it was Keefe's system or if he just went back to his Philly ways but hey what can you do


At least its a buriable deal but I got a feeling someone's claiming him and like Ritchie were gonna go so why couldnt u do that for us.

But hey more cap space to work with for a potential deal for a top 4 Dman

Sucks as I thought that 4th line would be our best 4th line. But when Clifford-Kampf-Simmonds looked better I knew the end was near

Hopefully ZAR-Kampf-Malgin can keep going strong.

Honestly if Im Toronto and with MTL contract situation I call them about Dadonov when hes healthy. As we saw last year he can still pitch in 20 goals

As with the Muzzin career situation we can fit him in and it should not cost a lot if anything significant (Maybe a 5th at most to get him)

Edit: And thanks to Kubel getting claimed we can do it

If he’s out long term we’re screwed. A Kallgren-? Tandem (Petrezelli?) is not a recipe for success.

A week? Wow time flies by, seems like just yesterday that he was injured. Still, not confident in a Murray Kallgren tandem either.

Hope I'm wrong, but I'm not huge on this. Leafs stretch over the next 11 days includes Canes, Vegas, Pittsburgh (x2), and Jersey. Seems dumb to throw another young guy into the mix in addition to Kallgren. Plus, I just get bad vibes when I watch Petruzzelli - great numbers pretty much everywhere he's been but something feels off with him stylistically - reminds me of Garrett Sparks in that sense. I want this to become my worst take ever.

Predicting goalies is voodoo but I believe in Petruzelli.

In general Leafs won games with under 900 goaltending last year. While it shouldnt become a theme dont see why they couldnt do it again. Got a feeling Kallgren will steal a game here and there and hopefully when Murray comes back he does what he did last year in OTT and puts up a 0.920 or at least stable goaltending which we saw during the preseason
