The first trade is an error. Kirby Dach will better than J.T Miller and is younger (21 year vs 29 Year). Giving Dvorak is fine but we can get a 3rd round pick. The first-round choice is really too much.

you might be surprised what you could get in return. it is a power ally that attracts attention with very good speed. it is a rarity.

Then you give Rem Pitlick which is one of the best contracts in the national league.

Time will tell for sure but his potential is higher and also he is 8 years younger. His contract is a bargain for 4 years, when it's over Dach will be 25 and Miller 33. JT.Miller and his contract 6M/Year end: 36 Year Old

Miller had 37 more points last season than Dach has in 158 career games. To say he will be better than Miller when he hasn’t even shown to be a top 6 forward yet is questionable

I see Sean Walker for Edmundson with 30% retention ($1,050,000) as a more likely trade, especially if it doesn't occur until the off-season, when both have only a year left on their contracts. Giving up Grans' entire career for one year of Edmundson would seem to be poor asset management.

We must compare the first 3 years of J.T Miller to those of Dach and not the season at 28 year old.

if they want a cup push usually they can be doing such move. Ed a 50% is a rookie coming the other way around. I'm not taking back an injury prone who barely can play in is d-zone that would be a downgrade

I'm bringning 2 Canucks veterans to support our young core and make another step toward our new era. I'm paying maybe too much but i'm building up also my cap space. Having 6 centers who can be at 55% on the dot is also a great upgrade for puck control.

I need to pay to receive Tanev and a cap friendly contract can help Calgary so i tried to accomodate them to be sure to close a deal.

But you're not trading Edmundson to get an upgrade, or even a lateral move, for one year -- you're trading him for the future return: the hope, and expectation, that Grans (or Durzi, or Spence) will turn into a top 4 defender.

You can certainly make the argument that you should get a better player/prospect than Walker if the trade happens this season, and the sooner the better, but this ACGM is a July 2023 construction, and by then there will be many more options open to Los Angeles, most of which will have more term than an expiring contract.

Seen like that, it's an accelerated reconstruction. It's true that the winner's culture settles there more quickly like that. We pay too much in the long term, but in the short and medium term to win right away it's a very good exchange.

The problem in that trade is a big value of Anderson

the contract lenght can be a problem too so I'm giving more to be sure to outbid any other team that could go for Tanev. Having Ghule Tanev and Grans to defend properly our d-zone with Savard too, in a lesser role, can add to our d-core. We need to look at what we build, not what we pay.

I understand, we just don't have the same way of seeing this team.

i'm building a 200 feet 2way team with puck control pressure. I want to suffocate other team through puck time management to be sure that our goalie don't receive 35 to 40 shots a game. Lemaire would be proud to have such team smile !
